Alexis Grant is the founder & CEO of They Got Acquired.

She previously worked as EVP of Content at The Penny Hoarder, scaling the content operations at the bootstrapped personal finance brand. Before running media startups, she worked as a reporter at the Houston Chronicle and U.S. News & World Report, and earned her master's in journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.

Alexis has sold two content businesses: The Write Life, a website for writers she sold in 2021; and a boutique content agency, which was acqui-hired by The Penny Hoarder in 2015.
