The role
We’re looking for a Virtual Assistant to support our founder and our team as we grow They Got Acquired.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer, has excellent organizational skills, and follows through on what they promise.
You should have experience working as a virtual assistant, so you can be proactive about suggesting ways to support us.
You should also be comfortable working with a startup that’s still figuring things out. Our processes will constantly evolve, and we see this as an ongoing opportunity to improve how we work.
We’re looking for 5 hours/week of support as a starting point, with opportunity to increase as the company grows. Compensation is $25/hour.

What we look for
About you
Some of the tasks you might help with:
- Add completed posts into WordPress
- Send contracts to sponsors and podcast guests using PandaDoc
- Coordinate advertising sponsorships, both ones we buy and ones we sell
- Provide podcast support, including researching upcoming podcast guests, adding timestamps to episode show notes, and formatting transcripts
- Research and order equipment
- Make tweaks to our website in WordPress
- Help draft our weekly newsletter
- Complete misc. paperwork
- Build documentation and processes
- Anything else that comes up that helps our founder grow the business
Tools you should be comfortable using:
- WordPress
- Google Docs
- We also use ClickUp (for task management), Loom (for asynchronous communication), Twist (for team communication, it’s similar to Slack) and PandaDoc (for contracts)
