Mallie Kim is a reporter based on Long Island, New York, primarily covering local political and education news, as well as human-interest features.

Mallie holds a Masters of Professional Studies in Journalism from Georgetown University. She covered national politics and policy for U.S. News & World Report in Washington, D.C., before spending a decade living in Asia and Europe, periodically writing and editing for topical publications and websites in between exploring various cultures and enjoying local food.
